This is, of course, a generalization—as each of these categories has a myriad of sub-categories—but it is a helpful one. In light of the existing data on the matter, from these three categories it can unhesitatingly be said that our society is currently in a crisis of meaning. To put it bluntly, a great number of people are living a great deal of their lives afflicted with passivity and discontentedness with respect to their relationships, professional lives and hobbies—or, a complete lack thereof on all three fronts....

But now the 5-year-old retriever has gained attention for something other than cute Instagram posts, having been said to be an aspect of ousted State Department Inspector General Steve Linick’s who Dems believe was carrying out an investigation into Pompeo. President Donald Trump fired Linick on Friday, confirming the decision in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, citing he no longer had “fullest confidence” in him. “As is the case with regard to other positions where I, as President, have the power of appointment, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, it is vital that I have the fullest confidence in the appointees serving as Inspector General....

Sweet Anita began streaming sometime in 2018, and right from the beginning, has been very open about her condition. Following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 20-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans in the NFL at the weekend, a message was spotted outside a branch of the Golden Arches located on the corner of State and Liberty Streets in downtown Jacksonville. The message read: “Burger King wants Titans to win.” It was clearly designed as a provocation over the big game, given that the rival fast-food chain was founded in Jacksonville, originally opening as Insta-Burger King in 1953....

DeKalb County police officers responded and found the employee, who has been identified as a woman in her late teens, at around 3 a.m. at the McDonald’s at 2077 N. Decatur Road in Decatur. A DeKalb police spokesman told 11Alive News: “The victim, an employee of the McDonald’s, appears to have gotten into a dispute with the driver over an order being wrong.” The McDonald’s employee was taken to the hospital in critical condition....

Wanting fresh fries at McDonald’s is a common request, but with customers doubting just how fresh the fries often are, they’ve come up with sneaky techniques to ensure they really are from a newly cooked batch. The latest ruse appears to be requesting unsalted fries, under the impression that the worker will need to make a fresh batch to ensure there is no salt on them. McDonald’s worker @haleylehane racked up over 270,000 views at the time of publication showing what she does instead to make sure new ones don’t always have to be prepared....
