There has to be a catch, right? Well, yes. The precious metals are extremely heavy. Mining a node or two at the start of the game might be all a player can do without dropping the rest of their inventory. The other issue is that these caves are rare. There are only five in all of Medieval Dynasty, so take note of which ones to visit regularly.
Cave Locations
Northernmost Cave
There is only one cave north of the main river. Between the sister cities of Branica and Baranica to the northernmost edge of the map is a cave. The river isn’t big enough to fish from and the two cities are quite close, but a small settlement could mine this cave nicely. Keep the villagers happy and working.
Westernmost Cave
The cave is so far west that the cursor won’t go over there unless players are already so far west that opening the map starts the cursor this far out. The cave is just a few hundred meters south of Lesnica.

There is some exquisite hunting here as well. The terrain is bumpy and the river is both distant and small, but, once again, a few miners should be happy enough here.
Jezerica Cave
Jezerica Cave is between the two lakes to the southwest. The outskirts of the mountains here make things very bumpy and, unlike the previous caves, there isn’t any water remotely close. But the proximity to a major settlement could be a nice perk.
Mountaintop Cave
The highest peak in the game has a cave right inside of it. Players can find it by climbing the entire mountain and looking down, but a convenient trail to the top actually goes right by it.

Because of the closeness to a trail and the total isolation, this is likely the toughest place to build a village. But keep the wife happy with some trinkets, use some creativity, and this may be the most unorthodox settlement in the game.
Southeastern Cave
Finally, a close major body of water and some isolation. Well, the southeastern cave may be too isolated as it’s truly in the bottom right-hand corner of the map. All of the caves are somewhat on the outskirts of the map, but this one is particularly far away from major cities.
Medieval Dynasty is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
